The Adventures of Tintin is a real treat!

An iPad game that includes a John Williams soundtrack really ought to be something special and unlike the recent Jurassic Park game, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is quite special.

The fusion of superb graphics - perhaps even the best yet seen on the iPad - emotive soundtrack and diverse play mechanics make Tintin by Gameloft an essential purchase for anyone with even a passing interest in iPad gaming.

Gameloft provides a sneak peek of Sacred Odyssey and StarFront: Collision

Gameloft have created some of our favourite iPad games, there can be little doubt that Gameloft has enriched our iPad gaming experience with classics such as N.O.V.A. 2 and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline. 2011 is looking to be quite a special year for gaming on the iPad, especially if recent talk of a dual-core CPU/GPU powered iPad 2 turns out to be true. Gameloft will surely make the most of the current iPad hardware and iPad 2 with their 2011 line up.

This new video podcast gives us a sneak peek into two potential iPad classics, Sacred Odyssey and StarFront: Collision. The podcast also contains an interesting interview with a 3D artist and a fun fan-made animation.

Gameloft to bring Zelda inspired action RPG to the iPad in February

Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time is without question one of the most loved games of all time. It's one of the few games that had me glued to my N64 controller until 2:00AM for 6 nights in a row. An epic tale of good verses evil and the adventures of a heroic protagonist as he battles unimaginable forces to rescue the princess and save his homeland. Generic? Yes. Epic? With doubt! As proof of its enduring charm, Nintendo are resurrecting it for their 3DS console due out in March.

For those looking for a similar gaming experience on the iPad, Gameloft's Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden (due out next month) looks like it could fit the bill rather nicely.

GT Racing: Motor Academy HD, the closest app to Gran Turismo 5 now just $0.99!

Today is a big day for fans of the magnificent Gran Turismo series for Playstation. Gran Turismo 5 is finally here! As gamers the world over eagerly unwrap GT 5 for PS3 we can't help but feel a tad jealous. With iPad gaming still in its infancy it's just too early to expect a driving simulation that can equal the detail and realism of GT5.

We may not have GT 5, but we do have the surprisingly complete GT Racing: Motor Academy HD from Gameloft. If you've not picked up Motor Academy HD now's your chance. For a limited time Gameloft have lowered the price of the iPad version to just $0.99 (£0.59)!

In our view this is one of the best iPad bargains of the year. Snap it up while you can!

N.O.V.A. 2 for iPad is inbound!

Ladies and gentlemen the best first person shooter for iOS is about to get an sequel. N.O.V.A. 2 is go! We don't know anything about the game yet, but we do have this teaser trailer which contains about 2 seconds of actual N.O.V.A. 2 footage! We've screen grabbed the N.O.V.A. 2 footage so that you don't have to.

What can we expect from N.O.V.A. 2? Mostly, more of the same, which is no bad thing as the original Gameloft classic is still one of our favourite iPad games. Beyond that it looks as if N.O.V.A. 2 will include a higher polygon count and rich Avatar-esque environments.

More details as we get them.
