iRig MIC Cast for Mobile Voice Recording and Podcasting

It features a narrow field unidirectional mic for cutting down on ambient noise, they even recommend using it for VOIP calls.
Like the iRig Mic, the MIC Cast has a headphone socket so you can monitor what is being recorded.
The iRig MIC Cast even comes with a stand for your iPhone/iPod Touch, but you should be able to use the device (without stand) on your iPad too.
IK Multimedia are also bundling their iRig Recorder and VocaLive software with the device, both very useable and solid apps in our experience.
