If you grew up in the UK during the 1980's there is a good chance that Morph, the charmingly mischievous clay character featured on Take Hart and later Hartbeat, will be one of your childhood heroes. Long before the days of CGI characters, Morph inspired a whole generation of kids to get into modelling and animation. (See the video below for a sample of Morph's adventures)

With iDough from CrateSoft you will be able to have a go at making your very own Morph-like character, but this time on your iPad. Just like Let's create! Pottery HD, iDough encourages experimentation and play in a way that many iPad owners may not have consider before.

Take the time to check out the developers video, it shows all the tools and provides a nice overview of the app. Our initial thoughts are that iDough is a good start, we hope to see the application developed to allow for more control and customisation of the digital dough. If sculpting is something that intrigues you, or perhaps you have experience in actual physical sculpting, you will likely find plenty to play with here.
