The artistic 'Halo' effect

Surprisingly, over the weekend we have seen numerous mainstream media articles that feature the artistic skills of iPad owners. For now this mainstream coverage seems to be mostly limited to artists that paint using the iPad. As both the breadth of creative apps and user base expands we are likely to see music creation get similar recognition on TV and in newspapers and magazines, but for now we are extremely excited to see artists like Kyle Lambert getting media attention for his beautiful iPad painting of Beyoncé.

Mainstream coverage of iPad art is likely to draw people to the iPad that would otherwise pass it by. A creative halo effect of sorts.

Be sure to follow Kyle on Twitter and join the iPad Creative Flickr group for many similar examples of what the Brushes app has enabled artists to produce.
