Fruit Ninja for the iPhone has proved to be something of a legend. How well does it transfer to the big screen? Very well indeed. There is a certain Wolverine-esque thrill to be had from slashing all four fingers across the iPad screen, juice and fruit matter flying in all directions. The HD version of Fruit Ninja offers spilt-screen multiplayer, we haven't tried multiplayer yet but it certainly look like it delivers.

It's good to see intuitive multi-touch games like Fruit Ninja HD making their way into the iPad. As the Nintendo Wii has proved it only takes a handful of platform specific games, titles that make most of the unique abilities of the hardware to transform a platform from fun toy to essential gaming hardware.
